| | | Born in Tel Aviv 1932. Studied 1947-50 with sculptor Moshe Sternschuss.
In 1950-53 worked as a shepherd in Kibbutz Ma'ayan Baruch and Kvutzat Yizrael. In 1954
studied with sculptor Rudi Lehmann, and in 1959-60 at St Martin's School of Art in London
University.
Returned to Tel Aviv 1972.
Many exhibitions throughout the world, including :
Paris Biennale 1967, Venice Biennale 1972 & 1978, Tokyo 1979, Sao Paolo Biennale 1985,
Awarded the first prize for sculpture at Paris Biennale 1967, Honorary Doctorate at Tel Aviv University 1974, and Israel Prize 1995.
London 1975, Israel Museum 1979, and many others in New York, Detroit, Toronto, Copenhagen, and Edinburgh. |
